What is V2G?
Vehicle-to-Grid
V2G lets an electric vehicle send power from its battery back to the grid as well as charge from it. Parked vehicles can then help balance the grid at peak times, and their owners can be paid for it.
V2G needs a bidirectional charger, a vehicle that supports discharging, and software that decides when to charge and when to discharge. ISO 15118-20 and OCPP 2.0.1 and later carry the messages for it.
